Run by a husband-and-wife team who are both accomplished pastry chefs, the café has quickly gained a loyal following for its irresistibly cute and delicious sweets. With large windows that fill the space with natural light, 3F Agaru provides a cozy yet refined atmosphere where guests can relax, take photos, and enjoy beautifully presented desserts. The husband shares his pastry expertise through a popular YouTube channel, and together, the couple also manages a nearby Airbnb close to Horyu-ji Temple.

The cafe has only been in business a few years, but has already been featured in high-profile advertisements to promote the area. Utilizing local ingredients, Suisho's dishes are creatively themed around “ice.” The cafe’s calming atmosphere accented by antique fittings, tatami rooms, and garden views, invites you to unwind and experience a slower side of Nara. Thoughtful hospitality and a seasonal menu full of sensory delights, makes this an idea spot for friends, lunch dates, or solo relaxation.

Nara Suisho’s signature creation is the “Suisho Mochi” - a translucent, jelly-like rice cake adorned with edible flowers. Popular treats include the hand-carved ice bowl filled with 100% fresh peach juice from Wakayama prefecture. Located right in front of Shin-Yakushi-ji Temple along the historic Yamanobe-no-michi trail, Gelateria Fiore is a charming café-restaurant celebrated for its handcrafted gelato, stone-baked pizzas, and hearty pasta dishes. The interior blends Parisian chic with hints of Gothic flair—antique furniture, lush displays of dried flowers, and gentle piano music create an elegant yet calming space. The warm hospitality of the owner adds to the charm and although English is not spoken, an English menu is available, and communication is made with care and heart.

The gelato is prepared using an Italian Carpigiani machine and premium ingredients—Hokkaido milk, Nara-grown strawberries (Kotoka), and seasonal fruits like Wakayama peaches. At any time, about ten flavors of gelato are available, changing with the seasons. Lunch options include homemade pasta and authentic stone-oven pizza. Ordering gelato after a meal offers a small discount.
